A letter to the Freedom Caucus

Dear, the Freedom Caucus,

For all the talk of no corruption and moral values, you represent the exact opposite of these things. You represent cruelty, corruption, and heartlessness. While our country was in peril over climate change, you supported a tax cut for big oil companies and advocated climate denialism. That is nothing short of a masochistic endeavor made by sick people who were somehow elected to public service.

The role of public service is so obvious, it is in the name. It is to help the public. That doesn’t matter whether you are a governor, US senator, state senator, state representative, etc. Your role is to serve the public. You however, have not served the public in any way. In fact you have done the opposite. You have hurt the public in more ways than one, whether that is denying the right to a peaceful change in power, trying to subvert a democracy that has been treasured for two and a half centuries, disparaging and shaming gun violence victims, or ignoring the science that, if acted upon, could save millions of people across the globe from a watery grave. You have betrayed your role as a public servant to line the pockets of the billionaires, espouse dangerous conspiracy theories, fight harmful ideological battles,  and be an attention seeker on Fox News. Let me make this very clear, you are not public servants. You are a form of business interest disguised as one. You are pawns that billionaires and hate groups put into place to line their pockets and protect their own interests.

Your climate denialism is nothing but pure destructive. As we, the next generation, seek to fight for our future on this planet, you continue to revel in scientific illiteracy, claiming climate change  is nothing but a fake conspiracy dreamed up by us to destroy the future. Yet as Climate Change rapidly burns down our planet, those notions become nothing but a cry made by illiterate beings whose sole role on this planet is to line the pockets of big oil and gas.  You are not fighting corruption and for moral values. Rather, you are fighting on behalf of corruption and destructive values that do nothing but hurt innocent people not only now but for the rest of time. In a time where we should be coming together in fighting climate change, you continue to be a violent financier who will fight it every step of the way. You are a shameful excuse for a politician, a wet stain on not only our beloved country, but the rest of humanity.

The author would like to note that this is only aimed at the Freedom Caucus. This is not targeted at the Republican Party as a whole. This is geared at the far right extremist part of the Republican party only, aka, the Freedom Caucus. The author values bipartisanship deeply and respects Republicans like Mitt Romney, John McCain,Pat Toomey, George W. Bush, etc however he denounces extremism and especially condemns not only the Freedom Caucus’ acts and statements regarding Climate Change but also their role in trying to overturn the 2020 Presidential Election and the January 6 insurrection.
